Your message of repentace brings us to your presence
The lesson of redemption is the only way to Heaven
No longer question, second guessing Your perfection
My confession is that I rejected Your blessings
I was selective with Your word, turned them into suggetions
I was reckless in my youth, now Your truth is my obsession
It's the substance of life I put my trust in the Christ
I wonder why the public hungers for lies
They eat and drink deceit like it's their water supply
But they excrete their meat complete with maggots and flies
I wanna 1-up when I die
Raise my son up in Your light
Teach him wrong from right, the Holy Spirit as my guide
Wholly fearless no compromise
Your word is not customized
No side of fries but Your power is super-sized

They can't accept You
But they pretend to
They resent You and wanna end You
They call Your followers intolerant baboons
They skew Your truth so it approves what they do
I wanna be the moon, which means reflecting the Son
A reflection so bright they might understand Your love
There's no other to come, no wonder I'm stunned
That the Son shed His blood so everyone could be won
They can choose to refuse
But that's kinda a bad move
It's like eating mud for food when you could've had soup
They try to disprove or remove what You created
They painted You a sadist said Your word spreads hatred
But notice this moment was mentioned in Romans
It's not like they've invented something You haven't told us
You've spoken, and You've got me roped in
Pulling in the lowest, hopeless and broken
